The CVEC is the ‘'Student Life and Campus Contribution’'
It is intended to improve the reception and living conditions of students.
All students enrolled in a higher education institution are required to pay the CVEC, which amounts to €105 per year, and to present the CVEC certificate.
Refugee and asylum-seeking students are exempt.
How to pay the CVEC?
1. Log on to the CVEC website
2. Create your online account
3. Indicate the city where you are studying (Perpignan)
4. Pay online by credit card and obtain your certificate
If you do not have a bank card, you can pay the CVEC in cash at an FDJ network outlet approved by Nirio. - The civil liability insurance

Civil liability insurance is compulsory in France.
It covers expenses in the event of accidental damage caused to others. Example: if you break another student's glasses or computer, or if you accidentally injure someone.
How do I take out civil liability insurance?
Civil liability is generally included in your home insurance policy.
Where can I obtain civil liability insurance?
- At your bank: if you have opened a bank account in France and taken out comprehensive home insurance, ask for civil liability insurance.
- At a student mutual insurance company: please contact your mutual insurance company for more information.
- At an insurer such as: SMENO, MAAF, MACIF, Studyassur.
