Our French courses will meet your needs.

The CUEF is recognized by the "Qualité FLE" Label for the quality of its teaching and its working environment; classes have a maximum of 18 students and many socio-cultural activities are provided to make your experience as fruitful as possible. Studying French at CUEF means being a student of the University of Perpignan Via Domitia and therefore you benefit all the advantages offered by the city, the region and more.

General French

The CUEF offers semester courses open to all levels, from beginner to advanced (A1-C2). Scheduled all year long, our courses are for people wishing to learn French or improve their skills. The intermediate and advanced courses combine teaching of general French and thematic workshops. Each course allows to obtain a University Degre corresponding to the level reached.

1 smester = 1 level = 1 degree

Objectives

Course organization
Six degrees are proposed according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages : www.coe.int.
DUEF A1 & DUEF A2: General French
DUEF B1: General French + 1 option to choose among 4 following options
DUEF B2: General French + 2 options to choose among 4 following options
DUEF C1 & DUEF C2: General French + 4 following options

Options:
  • French in pictures: contemporary French cinema
  • French press and media: French society through the news
  • French song and civilization: French civilization through the song
  • French economic: French socio-economic model, new economy

Number of hours: 220 hours of lessons divided into 20 hours per week, from Monday to Friday.
A test is done the first week to check your level and define your group. The courses take place over 11 weeks and one week of catching up. The control of the knowledge is done throughout the session, the presence to the courses is thus obligatory.

Period
3 semesters are proposed:
  • Fall (September - December)
  • Spring (January - May)
  • Summer (June - July)

Prices
  • 1360 € for one semester
  • 10% discount if you wish to register for two consecutive semesters, ie 2490 € both semesters

French for Academic purposes courses

The University Degree of French for academic purposes prepares students who plan to study at the university. Its goal is to give all the skills required to prepare your studies in a French university and more particularly at the University of Perpignan.
This course is reserved for students with B1 level.

Objectives
  • Allow an improvement of the French language
  • Understand the linguistic characteristics of the chosen academic discipline
  • Assimilate the methodological techniques and the French university culture

Number of hours: 440 hours of lessons divided into 20 hours per week, from Monday to Friday.
The courses take place over two semesters. The control of the knowledge is done throughout the session, the presence to the courses is thus obligatory.

  • Spring-Summer (January-July)

  • 3020 € for two semesters
